Is it better to sell silver at auction or for scrap?
If it is hallmarked, by a known maker such as Cartier or Tiffany & Co., or Georgian or Victorian, auction usually wins. Buyers pay for craftsmanship and provenance, not just weight.
How do I get a silver valuation?
Send us photos, or book an in-person visit to our offices near Broadway. Pre-sale auction valuations are complimentary.
Can I sell silver cutlery at auction?
Yes. Good sets do well here, especially by known makers, so send a photo and we will tell you honestly what it could fetch.
What are my gold coins worth?
Often more than their weight. A Queen Victoria 1887 five pound gold coin made £1,900 here, and a gold coin valuation is complimentary if you are thinking of selling.
What if I decide not to sell?
That is fine. Our advice is yours to keep.
